I have started reforming cases for my new 7mm TCU barrel and I am not sure if I am doing it correctly or not.

I have done both once fired and new brass.

I backed out the sizing die as recommended to start with so it just expands the case mouth and doesn't move the shoulder back at all and figured I would start here and then bring the full length resizer down till the action would close for proper fit.

Much to my surprise the first round I did with no adjustment on the full lenghth resizer and each one after that dropped in fine and action closed. In essence what I am ending up with is what ever shoulder is left after the neck is expanded up from .223 to 7mm..

Is this ok?

Thanks.. DonT

:D OK Don, sounds like you're kickin the neck out to 7 from 22 and barely touching the 223 shoulder or not touching it at all. The action closes after sizing. If this is all true, you done good. Next determine the proper OAL for your chosen bullets and barrel, prime, charge, and stuff a slug in there to the correct depth, and fireform. Sounds like you're gettin there!
