funny movie dialog

Passed by the TV, some movie was playing.

Helicopter flying over forest/lake; Passenger: "Why are we getting lower?"
Pilot: "That is what happens when we land."

I don't know if they intended for it to be funny or not.

Maybe they were making the passenger out to be a complete idiot. I just caught "The Lady From Chungking", an American WW II movie from 1942. When the lady spy tells the Japanese general that all his planes have been shot down and all his soldiers have been killed, he makes a face like "Aw shucks". It was a really low budget movie but somehow very entertaining.

I remember an old Bob Steele western (watched it as a kid....) in which he tells the Sheriff as they have the bad guys trapped in a bank.....

"Sheriff, tell yer men to surround the Bank and cover the backdoor!"

(Ahhh, wouldn't they already be doing that if they surrounded the bank?)
