I have a G1 Contender that has a toggle switch on the hammer that is moved for either R-Rimfire or C-Centerfire. I was looking at another G1 Contender to purchase but it did not have this R/C toggle switch on the hammer. I did not purchase it because I wasn't sure if it would work on my 22 rimfire barrel. Can someone help me with why some G1's apparently have this R/C toggle switch on the hammer & some don't.
Will the G1's w/o the R/C toggle switch work with the old Contender 22 barrels? Thanks

The older versions have a screw under the hammer that you turn to flip between rimfire and centerfire. That however may not be an easy open Contender and may be harder to open. See if the pivot pin is over the trigger or in front of the trigger under the forearm. The over the trigger pivot pin is the easy open, which I promise, you will like better.
