Guide rod question.

Some body correct me if I am wrong, but there is no problem. The way I understand it, is you assemble the guide rod to the closest notch on the barrel to avoid chipping it while reassembling. The action rod then works to the bottom notch where it needs to be for functioning. The purpose of the upper notch is only for reassembly, so the radius of the guide rod clears the slide. Hope this helps... :D

Guide rod question.

dukas2000. My G19 has in the range of 12000 rounds through it,and what you are seeing is perfectly correct with the placement of the guide rod/recoil spring assembly/action guide. Ya gotta shoot more and play catchup........................... :-D :-D :-D King

Guide rod question.

I've had the same experiance with my G22. I was worried about this when I first started shooting it.

has anyone seen the laser sight that fits in or replaces the guide rod?

Guide rod question.

You would be thinking of the Lasermax. I owned one of those for my G23 and never used it. Very expensive toy. You may or may not find use for it but i tend to stick to my night sights. I had no probs using the Lasermax guide rod and spring but it always bugged me that I changed the parts out. Lasermax says it will work 100% but u never know. I found that the laser shot to the right. Not bad for being bore sighted at the factory. Its not adjustable so you're either stuck with the way it shoots or you can send it back to Lasermax to have it zeroed. For $340 I'd save up for a G27 OR put that towards some custom leather.

Thanks Everyone

Thanks for the help. I know that Glocks have an outstanding record for druability and dependability, but it's reassuring to know that this is a normal function of my gun.

glkman

Thanks.

I checked the lasermax sights out, and I agree... I could just buy another gun!

I am going to stick with my night sights too.

Cheers,
