I am completely disgusted with the sales or parts dept. or whatever ya call it but last night I got home and to my surprise my order finally showed up I sent a action in about 10 weeks ago for a 357 ,22 hornet and a ultra fluted 223 to be fitted also ordered the camo t hole and forarm which they had in stock when they took the order also a ultra scope mount and the trigger job I got the barrels and that was all . What really perturbs me with this is the fact that I called 4 yes four times to make sure the order was correct and to find out just when it might be done . Yes I was a real pain in the ass because of all the other problems others have reported on here I was gonna make sure mine was right so I just could not believe that they would make these mistakes and really feel they need to do some thing to address what is no doubt a problem they have . I know they will make it right but there is no excuse for this to happen . I tried calling them but could not get through to Gordon and am leaving for deer camp later tonight so I will have to wait till I get home but I know they don't have the stock sets now and it will just be my luck that they won't offer them again. Just venting but it is very disheartening that this seems to happen way to frequently at H&R. About the only thing that I could hope for is that the rest of my stuff was in another box and is waiting for me to get home and open :eek: then it will be joy in Mudville again. You can always hope. Sorry to hear that Kurt, but it doesn't really surprise me, I don't think they fill the order for the stock until the fitting is all done, so that would mean adding the stock would be the last thing they did to it, unfortunately. Knowing the t-hole stocks were in short supply to begin with, I think I would have ordered it right away as a separate item and spent a bit extra for shipping, but that doesn't help much now. You didn't get the ultra rail either?? It would have been nice if they callled or emailed to let ya know about the stock tho. ::)

I just think that it's very poor customer service or that some one there should at least say something one of the 4 times that you call you may want to consider having stock sent now cause even tho you just placed your order for what we have in stock that doesn't really mean you will get one . I was told let me go make sure we got them and they did they should be tagging them or some thing. I mean I really don't know how the operation works but if thats the case it's just not a good system. I just wonder how many guys have talked to them on the phone to see if they got such and such bbl they say ya we 10 of them on the shelf but they already got 15 orders being worked and 5 more guys called and were told send in your action you end up short barrels angry customers poor cs it almost makes it sound like it's sell sell til some one in the back comes running up and says I got orders to fill but no barrels to do it with. There are way to many inventory systems out there to let stuff like this happen as often as it seems to. I'm just unhappy and will feel better when I kill some thing tomorrow. :( Kurt

No, you can order any part except a barrel, hammer or trigger without the frame.

Well I finally got the chance to call H&R today...boy that was like talking to a mud fence!!! I have lost nearly all my faith with their customer service. Seems they don't really care or take ownership for their so called inventory system. That it is not their fault it's the suppliers fault seemed to go in one ear and out the other the fact that I called four (4) times to make sure all was ok with order they did credit back my card . I guess in my opinion about all you can look forward to when placing and order with them is they might get it right but don't be surprised if it's wrong...I just have a hard time when it's a crap shoot at best that they get it right. Not once did they even say wer'e sorry. Guess I need to look else where for the stocks I want . Kurt

Gordon was the one I talked to . He sounded way over worked and tired of hearing complaints like this but seemed to think the problem was with the suppliers not with how they take orders or inventory things :-\ Kurt
