Howdy all,

I just mounted a 12-gauge bbl onto my previously 20-gauge topper 88. It fits like a glove and locks up tight. Is there anything that I should do before test firing it? (like getting more life insurance :) ) The bbl is in good shape but needs to be re-blued. 3" cyl, full. By the way, it ejects Magtech all-brass empties I have across the room. It was a shock the first time I tried it.
Cheers,
JB

H&R topper 88 20ga to 12 ga bbl swap, a

:D , Welcome aboard jasonfb, it sounds as if your good to go on all fronts, no problems as long as it locks up tight. Let us know when you come to the realization that you may be becoming a full blown Handiholic, it usually sets in soon after swapping/fitting/firing your fisrt new barrel on your reciever!!!Happy days!!!....<><....

Your welcome jasonfb, you probably already know you cannot fire a rimfire barrel on your shotgun frame, the firing pin will not line up. And even though centerfire barrels will fit on the frame it is not safe to fire them on the shotgun frame....<><....
