It had the laminated stock and heavy barrel.
It shot fine, but I have two other 223's and one of them had to go!
I think you'll like it. Mine shot under minute of angle with no load work done at all (sold it too quickly).
FYI, a 243 I bought for a couple teenagers I take hunting has been "no so good". Failure to extract, erratic accuracy. But the 223 was fine.
Steve357: I own a .223 H&R Ultra 24". With hand loads and good bench technique, it will shoot 1/2 moa grps. I'm well please with the rifle, but don't think it'll be as good as the standard for a varmit rig as it's pretty heavy to carry. Good Shooting Duce:
