I've got a Browning 1885 in .30-06 and would like to convert to .338.06. Can I have the barrel rebored? If I do, will it be too thin? Or, is rebarreling a better idea? If rebarreling, where would I get an appropriate barrel?

Reboring might be a little cheaper but not by a lot necessarily. Should be plenty of metal. Be aware not a lot of folks are doing this and waits can be really long.

If you want to rebarrel it call SSK one of the Advertisers on this site and talk with them. Tell them Graybeard sent you their way.
