yeah, that's kinda what I was thinking. I want to put the Mueller Eradicator on the .223, and the Nikko Stirling on a .243, for some funky Handis. It's not gonna be so top-heavy that you can't keep it from toppling on a sandbag, will it...I'm sure it will be fine. Man I've got to make that a priority, and post pics when done....tee hee. That Nikko looks like one cool scope.
For several years I had a Springfield Armory 4-16X56MM tactical scope on my 223 Ultra Rifle. I was told on numerous occasions that I had too much scope on that rifle. But it was an accurate combination that killed lots of coyotes. Now the Springfield sits on my Colt AR15.
That scope did look a little funny on that Ultra, but it worked.
The nikkos are good, perhaps best to explain they are like the bushnell range, theres cheap ones ok for .22lr, entry level for centrefire rifles and topline ones which rate very highly against some more expensive scopes perhaps better known,
