My wife's first deer on the first morning of her first hunt. We were there a total of 30 minutes when I saw this guy cut across the far corner of a hay field into the woods. 15 minutes later he cut back out into the field at the corner where we were sitting and she made a terrific 43 yard shot. I was very proud of her. I was backing her up with my rifle in case she could not get a shot, but it was not necessary.
This is our take so far this year in Ct.
Pic 1. My State land shotgun 8 point. (125 green)
Pic 2. My older son's State land shotgun 8 point (140 green)
Pic 3 My younger son's Private land rifle 8 point (167 green)
Pic 4. My older son's State land muzzle loader 8 point. (137 green)
My older son's 140 and 137 were taken within 40 yards of each other deep in a swamp. One of our hunting buddies also shot a 120 pound doe during State land shotgun in the same forest.
