Most all muzzleloaders are marked Black powder only that is so someone will not try and use smokeless and if they do then the mfg cannot be held responsible for blowing a gun up.
You can also use triple seven 2fg or 3fg powder and Blackhorn 209. I don't like to swab between shots or the crud ring with triple seven. I use BH209 90gr. in my Optima V2 rifle and 80gr. in the pistol with no crud ring or swabbing.
