CJ, I hope you don't mind me asking but is that the one that comes with the nice camo laminated stocks? Also, if you don't mind , I see you are from Canada, what do they sell for new in Canada (in USD please)? If this is not to much prying I would be interested. Congratulations on a fine gun, guys here are speaking of 150 to 200 yard shots with those 12 gauge Ultras!!!....<><....

Congrats on the new gun let us know how it shoots. I don't really know what the deal is on gun laws in Canada but it doesn't sound good. The hunting up there sounds great though. I haven'thaerd much about the use of slug guns in Canada. Are you in a shotgun only area? Do they even have such places in Canada?

just about any area of southern ontario is designated to shotgun, muzzel loader, or archery only in the north parts can you use a rifle for deer hunting and as for our gun laws well they are crazy but we manage hopefully they drop the gun registry thing soon but who knows

Wife bought me a 20 ga Ultra Slug for Fathers Day. Got it at Gander Mountain for $189.00. Has the standard stock, but I plan on refinishing it same as I did my .223 stock. Will improve the fit around the receiver and then stain with a mix of cherry and walnut that I have used on several of my rifles, finish out with a Teak Oil finish. What brand slugs seem to work best with this gun ??

well got the gun mounted the scope yesterday took it to the range today and shot it. used the partition gold slugs seems like this gun is going to be awsome, at 50yds i sighted it in was getting decent groups then my last shot i took i moved out to 100yds i nailed the bullseye dead on. recoil was very managable like shooting a 30-06. gun looks and feels great only complaint is it will not extract fired shells very well the extracter just stays flush like it does not have enough force to pop the spent shell it has no problem with unspent shells but failed to extract 5 rds, i wonder if its just a break in thing

CJ...You may want to try giving that USH a good cleaning first before calling CS. I would pay particular attention to the area around the ejector and break action to make sure that there are no metal shavings or flakes that would impede the ejector. A good cleaning is often the answer to such a problem even for a new slug gun. Let us know if it works...

well took the advise given and really cleaned the heck out of the ejector area i also did this when i got the gun but figured id try cleaning it better then i took it out and shot diff ammo problem was nearly fixed completely i still had 2 that didnt eject but all i had to do was give the shell a slight tap and she just poped out so i can live with that anyway thanks for the advise
