I've moved the trap outside my yard fence a few weeks ago. Been putting a little corn in it to keep the pigs coming though. Last night friends from Orlando wanted to shoot a couple of hogs. There's been a big sow with about 5-6 50 lb pigs running with a really nice big boar hog. They though the boar was just what they wanted so I left the farm gate open into the yard, better light in yard, and put a little corn in the trap and 3 big piles of corn inside my yard.

Those hogs with the big boar in the lead would not get within 10 yards of the open gate. They just turned and went back into the woods. Only thing different was the open gate. Unless a stray wind current revealed my 2 hunters set up under the cabana by the pool.

So I closed the gate and went to bed. Woke up at 3 am and walked outside and all the corn in the yard was gone. Humm.

Well we did trap 7 a few days later. Kept a nice big dry sow for a meat pig. She was covered with fat, from eating my corn I suppose.
