This is an 1860 Blakely variant in 1/8 scale.
The gun is rifled and shoots a .4459 minie that I found at Trail of the Wolf. The liner is a 45acp also from Trail of the Wolf.
I get wheels made by my friends at Hanson Wheel and Wagon, Letcher, SD.
I provided ordnance drawing for tube to my friend Kevin over at Texarkana Machine, Texarkana Texas, and he did as usual a great job.
The tube stamping is to scale and was done, along with hot blueing, by my friend Steve Randall at SRS engraving, Hope, Ar. And of course I did the fab/forging for the parts along with building carriage.
To do these at 7 inches they are $440 per pair. If you think about the tiny tolerances required they are cheaper than I can make them at this time, so there you go.
They have done full scale stuff for our carriages and wagons at the park and they always do top quality.
If you consider that these also absorb a lot of the recoil then that's just another big reason for getting them "right" in my view.
