I am tryting to work out loads for my 45's I think I will use the 200 gr rnfp bullets in both my rifles and handguns. I have shot some loads that the local guy loads and liked them..
I am wondering what powder most of you guys use for 45.

Been shooting 200 grn with 4.2 of Clays.

Heavy enough to let me know I'm shooting, light enough to keep me in the game.

I bought some Tight Group Ill give it a try first. I was looking at Clays and noticed it wasnt a full pound for the same price. Call me cheap call me tight, heck man just call me....oh sorry I got off there.
I guess my hunting load of 23.0 grs of 296 and a Hornady XTP might not go over to well.....

In .45 6gr. of Bullseye with a 200gr. pill & Fed. primers works well. I know,I know some are saying" Spoken like a true NRA Bullseye Match Shooter". I like Bullseye because it don't take much,it meters well & I trust it to be the same . My std. deviation is 10 fps or less with that load.

Clays

It looks like Jax and I shoot the same thing. 4.5 - 4.7 Clays. Extremely clean powder & meters better than anything else I've tried.
