Looking for scope recommendations for my Ru

Look at the Bushnell 3200 Elite in 3x9x40. I believe if you want, you can ask Bushnell to adjust parallax for 50yds. or leave it alone and use as is for 100yds.

Try the Elite 3200 4-12-40 AO or 5-15-40 AO. D & R has the lowest price I have seen, located by "GB" for me last week. D & R is an advertiser on this site.

I would personally go with a bsa or tasco 24X or better yet a 32X scope. These cheap scopes will cut groups in half of any costly 3-9X or 4-12X.
Not knocking anyone, I have an elite 3200 on my deer rifle it is the best quality scope for the money, I personally like more magnification on a rimfire target rifle.

New Bushnell airgun rimfire scope

I just purchased a 3X9 Bushnell without the AO that some people dont like in a plinking rifle. I use them on my airguns and they are holding up so far. It has the instant rear eye objective adjuster on it and it costs around 55.00 at most dealers. It also comes with rings that will fit yor Ruger. Similar to the BSA 2X7 without the AO that I don't like to fool with on my hunting rifles.

Looking for scope recommendations for my Ru

I picked up a BSA Deer Hunter 3-9X40 at a recent gun show for a really good price. I have it mounted on the rifle and ready to go to the range but now a buddy of mine at work has me worried, he says that the paralax is probaly set for 100 or 150 uards which is why they make specific rimfire scopes that have the paralax set at 50 yards.

Will this cause me any problems. I don't really understand what paralax affects. Should I go with a rimfire scope instead of the one that I have?

Thanks for all of the help guys :D

Dragoon,
Parallax:
Parallax is a condition that occurs when the image of the target is not focused precisely by misalignment of shooters eye on the reticle plane. This condition exists in all scopes and accounts for more enlarging of rifle group sizes than anything else. Parallax is visible as an apparent movement between the crosshairs and the target when a shooter moves their head and changes eye alignment in the scope. The higher the magnification the more visible this is, a good high power rifle scope will have an adjustable objective lens to correct this at all yardages.

Scopes

Dont know what you want to spend, but i like the simmons white tail expedition for a scope thats 150.00 or less. Topped my NEF- 17 HMR with the 4-12x42AO expedition, clarity is outstanding & it tracks great! very good value IMO. I would also recomend the bushnell elite or the grand slam by weaver if you want to spend more on a scope.
