For those of you who reload, what is the lube on the 45LC? Looking to mold some of my own and want to do it right.

Javailina has severed me well for many years lately I have been mixing it 50-50 with Billy marrs lube. It works great like that and is better for handling in hot weather.

When sticks of lube went to $3 a piece I started making my own. I use canning wax(avail. at grocery) and wax commode seals(avail. at any hardware). I mix 60% commode seal with 40% canning wax in a can and melt it on my stove. I pour it into my sizer and let it harden. Then I'm ready to lube. Its cheap, simple and works as well as anything you can buy already made. I use it for all my handgun cartridges and my .444, 30-30 and 30-06 with no leading. I've been using this recipe for years and it works!!! :lol: :lol:

The easyest way is to use the Lee liquid Alox. I don't get any leading till I go over 1200 fps. At 1000 fps, where I usually load all my lead handgun bullets, its great.
