You might consider one of the "ghost ring" sights. If you are not familiar with these they are sort of like a peep sight but with a very large rear ring that quickly uses the natural ability of the eye to center the front sight. These are made for quick acquisition such as for running deer, etc. but are quite accurate. I've got one on my M1895 45-70 and really like it. I find it is just as accurate at up to 100 yds as a scope. I been able to easily shoot 2" grouping at 100 yds with mine. The ghost-ring name comes form the effect when the front sight through the rear large ring. The ring appears as a blurred ring, hence the ghost-ring name. One of the excellent suppliers was called Ashley/AO but has recently changed their name to XS Sight Systems or Express Sight Systems. Click on the URL below for more info.
