Just wondering how many lever act. owners there are. I have a marlin .375 & .444 marlin.I reload for both, I use 200 & 220 gr. bullets, Aa1680 powder in my .375.In my .444, 265 & 270 gr. with VN 120.
I've taken one 6pt. w/ .444, my nephew took 4 deer last year with the .375.All were one shot kill's, under 100 yrds. Now all I need is a BLR
in .358 or a .356 in a marlin.

Got a wonderful Marlin in .35rem. A real delight to shoot. Couple .22s Win 94-22, Win 250. Got a Win 94 in .45lc on layaway at Jays. All lots of fun. My first rifle was a Win 73 in 32-20. 24" octagon bbl-heavier than **** to a young'n. Let that one get away when I was older and "moved up" to a Win 94 30-30. Boy was that stupid! 44 Man

Trails 650, I'm west of Bird's meat market. Are you going to the gun show at White Cloud this Sunday? I found my .375 there last year, hoping to find a 45-70 or .35 there. Have you checked out the pawn shop in newaygo, he has good prices on his guns. Last year he had a like new marlin .35 for $235. Marlin 444

Trails, the show is at leighton hall.I believe that is the old plumbs. I do most of my deer hunting over in montcalm co. (in-laws place) . Here at home, there are getting to be to many hunters.I'm going to try turkey hunting this year, I've been seeing 35 w/ 5 tom's.I bought a rem. 788 in 7-08 from the pawn shop.I keep checking there for other lever actions, he's really low on rifles right now.

I hunt alot of places. North and west of White Cloud. Just East of Heiss Lake. Plenty of hunters there. It took a few years to find out where the deer run too. now I see all the action around 10:00-10:30. i just sit in the heavy stuff (good 375 area)about 35 yards off the two tracks and open fields and watch the deer file on by.

I live North of Flint and hunt near Hubbard Lake in southern Alpena County on family property. Have built up a decent collection of the Winchester "Big Bores" over the last ten years (.307, .356, .375, and .444) and have just gotten interested in Marlins with a 336D .35 Rem added recently and an 1895GS .45-70 in layaway at the present time. Also have one Savage 99 in .300 Savage, made in the mid-50's.

The idea of a Michigan Lever-Action shoot in the future sounds great to me so count me in! Hopefully in the U.P. Been lookin' for an excuse to get back up there and do some prowlin' around.

I've got a winchester model 95 in 405 winchester. If I can get some loads put together I may be interested in a lever action shoot. It's nice to see other yoopers out there. I moved below the bridge in '76 so I had to give up my yooper membership card and promise not to use the secret hand shake. I've still have a camp in the EUP.

I paid $350.00 cash for mine at the Midland Gun Show in the spring of 1996; and I saw a Winchester .356 (pre-safety) at Williams Gunsight a year ago for $459.00 in 95% condition. Sounds like you made a respectable deal to me based on the prices I've seen in my area.

By the way, you wouldn't happen to be the same guy I sold a couple of boxes of Sierra .375 200 grn F/P's to last year, would ya? Seems to me that Howard City rings a bell.

Anyway, congrats on the .356 Winchester Levergun, I'm sure you'll love it.

Yes, I'm the same person that bought the .375 bullets from you.I let my
nephew use the .375 last yr., he took 2 buck's & 2 does with it.It was his first yr. deer hunting, they were all one shot kills.I used the 200 gr. W/ AA
1680.The guy I bought my .356 wanted $350 for it, I talked him down $25.it's a pre safety, no extra's with it.Have you tried the 200gr. Rn's in yours, I picked up 100 of them for $8.00 at the same show.

My .356 loves the factory loads and I hunted with them in 2002. Sorry, but no performance on game to pass along as I got skunked. Passed up a few questionable shots and didn't see anything else.

I have a batch loaded up with the Sierra 200 grn R/N (actually they have a very blunt nose and you could almost call them a F/N) using AA-2015 powder. I choose 42 grns as a start and have them worked up very slowly, stopping a couple of grains short of the maximum for the .358 Winchester with this bullet in the Sierra manual. Just waiting for the weather to break so I can take off for the range.
