Lots of great info; how to's, what has & hasn't worked, parts sources, etc.

I've gone from 4-1/2" groups to a little over 2" at 100 yrds by just changing to a reduced gas port, hand-lapping the gas block, and re-torqueing.

Generally, I agree. But if a few small inexpensive changes can improve accuracy without reducing reliability, I'm inclined to make the changes.
