With all the talk about **** in "****...TOO HARD TO HANDLE?" (by trapnman) we never really got into the **** cufs/ duffers/ lil'griz traps. How many of you all use them?? What do ya think of them?
Im considering trying a dozen or so and would like your thoughts...and if you DO use them what are your general sets?? Do you bury the trap? Iv heard some just stake them in the bank and let the **** do the rest. The article in FFG has just got me thinkin...

GRizs" for sure

 I use grizs and they work great. A little pricey but they do the job. IN places where coni boxes werent connecting i set a griz right next to box and bingo *****! Also in places where box traps were being stolen put in grizs on earth anchors bingo no stealing cant pull out of ground lol. THis is another TOOL we as trappers can use besides foothold. THe griz is fast easy and CATCHES ***** and keeps em there till you get there.

To me, the biggest problem of any of these type of traps is their biggest strength LOL In other words- I hate seeing fox tracks all around a lil griz with no catch- but in situations where you want 100% ****, I like em. Very visable though- so earth anchers are a good idea. I had a pair of them "walk away" this year. I do feel the lil griz traps are more versitile then some of the others, and eae in setting is another factor- you can set them in rock cracks, logs, old barns, banks, flat ground, etc. They certainly will never replace 1.5cs in a mixed trappers bag- but for **** specific, you can't go wrong....trappnman

I've heard a lot of good about these Griz traps by trappers who have used them first hand. On the down side though is their made pretty much by a one-man operation so there's a backlog of product delivery. I'm waiting for this guy to come up with a mink specific trap. LOL
