I am thinking of buying a mossberg 4x4 with a laminate stock in a .243 to use mainly as a varmint gun but I haven't heard anything about accuracy from them so any help would be nice I just like the idea of a 243 with a muzzle brake on it. Thanks in advance!!!

I bought their 4 X 4 in .270 and have found it to be very accurate, have only shot it up to 100 yards so far, with 2 trips to the range. I would like to try it at 200-300 yrds and see how it does, shoots well with everything I have used, but have handloaded some Sierra match bullets to make it real tight.

The trigger is set at 2 lbs and the muzzle brake really helps in recoil as it does not kick much, the Sellier and Bellot 150 grainers did have a kick though, I figure they are loaded on the hot side.

The name "4 X 4" is a take on the truck, sounds strong, or so the company says.
