I picked up a sharps about 15 years ago, cal 45/70, receiver is marked Shiloh Rifle Company, barrel is marked C.Sharps Arms, so what gives with this ting anyway? Iknow that they are two different companies. :roll:

In the mid-70s the owners of the two companies were partners. They split in the mid-80s after having moved to Big Timber, Montana. The two operations are a couple of blocks apart. That rifle sounds as though it was rebarreled to .45-70 by C.Sharps.
