Just received my first Thompson center contender G2.
Stainless, black composite stock and forend.
Yep.. it opens eazy peasy..
My 23" barrels lock up nice and tight.
7-30 waters.. and 30-30 AI.
Although? The trigger mechanism, can move side to side in the frame..is this normal ?
Trigger is slightly heavy, but crisp.
I do think once I get a trigger job on it, I'm going to be pretty happy with it.

I don't own one from Springfield, so I don't know if it's good or bad. But I don't think the new ones from Hausofarms are made there

It is still a thing of beauty!
A Stainless G2 frame is a great thing.
I don't care where it was made.
Congratulations, sir.

Neither good or bad Peabody. Haus of Arms is taking pre-orders for the SSK-50 frame (SSK Industries version of the Original Contender). It is backwards compatible with barrels and "G1" furniture, stainless, and has a few upgrades and engraving options.

Thanks Jimmy !!
I'm really liking it so far.
Hope to get more loads for it soon.
And once again..
Dreaming of a 23" 7TCU....
It's a hopeless disease isn't it?

I have barrels in both those calibers. You will be surprised at the accuracy.

I had M.Bellm rework both of my barrels.
So far they shoot fantastic.
He put his integrated muzzle brake on the 30/30AI..
I kid you not... It has "zero" recoil..
And hits like the hammer of Thor.
The 7-30 barrel is outstanding.
I'm serious about getting a 23" 7mmTCU barrel ..
MGM has one.
