I have been looking off and on for a number of years and a month or so back one fell into my hands. I carried one for my year in Korea in 1952 as my personal side arm Colt Combat Commander in 9 mm
Deaconllb Have no Idea why picture posted upside down
No where I was 18 miles behind front lines the first 4 grades were issued 30 US carbine m1 Staff. Tec Master sergeants got 1911 45 acp we were to be armed at all times except to the mess hall. One of the men shipping out had a 9mm commander feather weight that was a non issue and as he could not take it home with him he wonted to sell and I bought it 75.00 with a shoulder rig and a box of ammo and I carried it when off the base and off duty in place of my 30 carbine M2 it would go full auto with the flip of a leaver. When I left I had to sell it as I could not bring home.
Deaconllb. Like your toy. Those commanders are an interesting variation. An thanks for the pic, we always like em. 👍
