Finally got to weighing the power and shot I put in my 12 gauge shells. Now you have to remember that both my brother and I have had rotator cuff surgery so we have to have light loads. Even the lightest of the Winchesters are too hard on our shoulders. Doc doesn't even want us to be shooting scatter guns but what he doesn't know won't hurt us. :wink:
I've got the MEC adjustable bar and while loading up a 100 shells (gotta keep my stockpile full--match was last weekend) I came up with these weights:
powder: Red Dot; about 9.9 to 10 grains. This is about a 17 bushing even though I'm using an adjustable bar
shot: #9 comes out to .7 oz and I use an .125 over shot card
The over shot card really makes my crimps look good. Don't know why but for me it does the trick.
