I was very pleasantly surprised by the nice wood and the quality and brilliance of the case hardening. The bore looks as nice as the outside. My wife is not a gun person whats so ever but tolerates it with me. But since it is a family heirloom now, she wants to learn to shoot it. Lessons will begin soon.

Love the profiled barrel and receiver. The fit and finish on the old Worcester built Toppers was nice. That's a great gun to get her into shooting.

In great shape and as everyone said, love those contoured barrels. From the looks of that hammer it's a rebounding hammer also.
Yeah, that is definitely pre-transfer bar.

Very nice gun! The new ones are not made as well as that one. I have a Topper Model 158 in 30-30 that I bought in 1970 my only regret is not buying the 20 ga barrel that came with it. It was a combo but I just didn't think I could afford it at the time. Sometimes I wonder what the store owner did with the extra barrel.
