N IL Goex FFg?

1053 Views 6 Replies 4 Participants Last post by  Brasskisser
I've been frustrated in finding 25 lbs. of Goex FFg in northern Illinois. Mail order places require someone at home to sign for a shipment, which I can't guarantee. Surely there must be some place that I can walk in and buy this stuff. Anyone out there know of any such stores?

I think GAT guns carries BP They are in dundee
Seems to be no shortage in SE Wisconsin; you might just try a trip across the border. I've never been asked to sign anything up here, so I think it's legal enough.
Hey Charlie,
Where do you get your powder in SE WI.? In Central WI I had no luck finding powder so I ended up ordering a case from powder inc.

Thanks for the reply gents - by the way, GAT stopped carrying BP.

Jay's in Menomonee Falls (I live in Milwaukee) generally has some (might call ahead); Gander Mountain is scared of the stuff, but they carry Pyrodex (cheaper than Jay's) and maybe Clean Shot (now American Pioneer Powder). You might also try that outfit in Lomira, the name escapes me at the moment, but it's BIG, and visible to the West of Highway US45, in a big metal barn-type building. Looks like you could store aircraft in there.
There are a couple of gunshops on the south side, but I don't know if they carry BP or not...one of them at least sells BP guns. You might check the Waukesha directory, and maybe the West Bend directory, too. Oshkosh PROBABLY has someplace, check with <<http://www.bradleycompanyofthefox.com>>...they're a rendezvous store, but they probably know who might sell it. Also, more on your area, <<http://www.tdcmfg.com>>...this is Tedd Cash, who makes all kinds of brass, copper, iron, and german silver accessories and inlays and stuff for BP guns...he's in Waunakee, I think.
Try going to local Rendezvoux, etc. There might be people there who can tell you about retailers.

You might check out the powderb companies web sites. I know there is an Elephant and Swiss dealer in Kewani, Ill. I have bought 25 at least four times from them. I pick it up.
