10/22 squirrel rifle

I took my old 10/22 rifle and modified it to squirrel hunt. put a new trigger group in it, camo'ed a plastic stock, changed the barrel to 16 inch and threaded, added a supressor and modified the magazine to handle 22 shorts. not much louder than a pellet gun and the squirrels don't have any idea where it is coming from.

I have a 22 lr Ruger American and a buddy has a CZ American in 22 lr and between the two if I were looking for the best accuracy I would go with the CZ American. My RAR 22 lr is accurate but the CZ beats across the board. I do love my 39A also.

What side of the equator do you live on, that might explain a thing or two about it. LOL.

Ruger does a good job on those. You'll be happy with it I'd bet. I've bought three 10-22 with the American style plastic stock and they are quite servical for my uses. I do have a CZ 452 FS that is probably the most consistently accurate rimfire I own. But I think the RAR is a very good coice for a walk around .22 rifle.
