I have a Remington XP-100 in 7mmbr with a 2x Leupold. I'm looking for a higher magnification scope, preferably 2x7 or 3x9. Anybody have any suggestions/experience they can pass along? I use it for deer and coyote hunting here in central Texas.

thanks for your help!

Need variable pistol scope, any suggestions

I'm currently looking at the Burris 1.5-4x20 and the 2-7x32.

The eye relief from these variables are higher than most fixed powers.

I have a post running on the handgun forum about them.

This is easy.

Burris 2x-7x-32mm, or
Bushnell Elite 3200 2x-7x-32mm (which has constant eye relief), or
Leupold 2x-7x-(I think) 32mm.

The Leupold is the most expensive, but very good.
The Burris is also very good, and less expensive.
I like the Elite because it is also very good, about the same price as the Burris, and has constant eye relief (20").

I have my Burris mounted on my 454 Casull - NEVER any problems.

BTW, I also graduated from Baylor in (if I remember correctly) 1994 with my M.P.P.A. - Master of Public Policy and Administration with specialization in International Policy. (Politics).

Go Bears!

I suggest springing for the Leupold. See the handgun forum posts for my (and others) opinions on Burris. I have a 2.5 X 8 on my Super Blackhawk Hunter the eye relief is plenty all the way through the power range.

&BTW...I am from Waco and went to Baylor too. But I came to my senses in time and graduated from UT. Hook 'em....

check out the burris 3x12. i've got 3 of em, plus a 2x. i like them a lot. if your lookin for maximum field of view, you might consider the burris 2x7.
the 12x comes in handy for sighting in, target work, and the occasional long shot where you've got plenty of time to crank it up and get a good rest. 8)
