Well, let me put it this way, and Nightfox, we've discussed similar issues before. New engines-better mpg, no doubt a little more power, but is it necessary 99% of the time? Run quieter, better for the environment
Disadvantages- those frickin computer chips! Every time somthing goes wrong you have to take it to the guy with the diagnostic computer to figure out what's wrong, instead of taking it apart yourself and fixing the thing for much, much less money. I like working on my own stuff, so I like the old stuff, but it is fun to get in my friends' trucks and lay the hammer down, they got some cojones under the hood. For my money I like old school. My opinion, take it for what it's worth, which isn't very much most of the time.
