Recently purchased a handi rifle from a pawn shop a few days ago. Overall it is in good condition, chambered for 270 Winchester. Couldn't find any ammo locally so I ordered a couple of boxes from Midway.
While I have never been a fan of the 270 in general this one really has me doubting the need to pursue any more time to load development. 3-4" group at 100 yards.
In addition to the poor accuracy there is some sign that it has been bubba'ed. The extractor does not engage the rim of the cartridge and has to be removed using a bent paperclip. It does appear that one of the factory roll pins has been replaced with a short piece of an 1/8" welding rod. Shown in the picture. Anyway, any suggestions would be appreciated.
