When they first came out, I picked up a S&W model 69, .44 magnum, with the 2.75 inch barrel. Factory rubber grips help with recoil, but since my go to load with this gun is a 250 grain WFN at about 975 fps, I decided to try a set of Altamont Rosewood Targets. They really change the look of the gun for the better, and feel fine. This is my usual bumming around in the woods gun.

Oh, and I just recently picked up a partner to help alleviate the burden on my S&W - A Colt Python 3 inch...:)

The Python is a bit of a tart, the model 69 more the kind you take home to meet mom. But they both work well, and even fit the same holster.
