There comes a point in every man's life when he steps back and not only reflects upon all that has happened during that point in time, but more importantly attempts to learn from it and better himself.

For many people, the New Year marks that somewhat arbritary point when such inner personal reflections are made. In a way, it is a shame that the New Year comes, well, only once a year because we should all reflect upon our lives much more often than once a year.

I have reviewed a study whereby it was concluded that most individuals "give up" on their New Year resolutions by the end of February to early March. As such, I have just a few suggestions for all of us.

First, let's all make resolutions that are realistic. Making an unrealistic resolution is almost like not making one at all.

Second, perhaps we should all make "resolutions" more than once a year. Perhaps we should make "resolutions" (realistic ones) every month. They don't necessarily need to be "earth shattering" or "human changing" resolutions. Small, realistic resolutions are all that are needed.

I believe that we are put on this earth for a variety of reasons. And one of those reasons is to better ourselves. No matter what religion, race, or creed one comes from, he can always better himself.

I wish all of you a very Happy, Loving, Healthy, Prosperious, and BETTER [/color]New Year! God Bless.
