I know what you mean about the NEF board. I post there sometimes and I have seen the problem first hand. Welcome to GrayBeards! You will find the Marshal Graybeard runs a smooth operation and the other stuff that you put up with over there won't happen here.
I found my .243 to be rather long throated. 100 grain Remingtons shot arount 2-3" at 100 if I remember correctly. When I moved to a place where I could reload I bought some 90 grain Noslers and loaded them out to within .030 of the rifling. This brought the groups down quite a bit. Can't remember how much smaller but it made me happier. I still have to get the trigger re-done and am planning on sending it in to purchase 2 more barrels. One a .44 and a 30/30. The .44 will become a .445.
Don't have an NEF but do have a Browning Low Wall in the caliber. Haven't found any magic loads for 100s in it yet. Can give you my Nosler 90BT load that wants to stay around 0.5" or less most all the time if you like.
