Can someone give me the max load for a 30-06 165 grain Nosler partition with 4350? I want a solid 2700 fps coming out of my Handi and my A-Bolt.

I know to work up to the max, but the disclaimer should be included reguardless.

Thanks...

From the Nosler book...

H4350 53.5gr start to 57.5gr max @2872fps 24" bbl.

IMR4350 53gr start to 57gr max @2832fps.

and for comparison to what I'm shooting...(cept 200gr NP)

Rl22 59gr start to 63gr max @ 3002fps. (61gr and above compressed)

No kidding... What would the R22 do to a 165 NP? Does it give that data?

Thanks for the help, Quick.

That data is for the 165/168gr loads.

What does compressed mean?

Well, I know that the powder is compressed but is there something special to loading compressed cartridges?

sorry for the questions...

Yes, the max load is 105% load density. Reloading manuals indicate when a load is compressed.

Compressed means exactly that...that the powder is compressed...

No offence...but...I strongly urge you to buy a copy of the Nosler #5 reloading manual...it has a great section on reloading and all the terminology associated with reloading...plus a very good section on how to reload...I've found it a great reference and use mine all the time...

Mac-

None taken... I appreciate all advice. I'll certainly be purchasing many load manuals... just as soon as the coffers build up again. I just ordered a RCBS chargemaster powder dispenser and scale (ouch!).
