Does the A-Frame have the same quick expansion characteristics of the Partition? I'd like a bullet that retains its weight like the A-Frame but want the quick expansion of the Partition too. Game will range from hogs to moose in 375 H&H. Bullet weight around 260/270 grains depending on manufacturer.

Have you read any articles comparing the two?

If it sounds like I want to have my cake and eat it too, then you're right.

Thanks for the help!

Hi Q,

I use the 300gr NP for everything. JJ Hach likes the A Frame and he's got way more experience that I. BUT....it's a really heavy partition.

DrDougRx:

Thanks for the insight. I'm looking for a bullet that will fully penetrate and exit a moose in a broadside shot. Do you happen to know of an expanding .375 bullet that will reliably do that, or am I just doing a bit of wishful thinking?

Try the Nosler 260gr. Accubond. It should have no problems on moose. My buddy has shot some very large hogs with it and it works great, even on broadside shots.
