What kinda snow shoes?.......

Lead Pot,
What brand & model of snow shoe do you use on your winter walk abouts?

What type & caliber of firearm(s) do you usually take?

Sounds like a good time, have fun, & stay warm!

Del.

I'm not to sure what modle they are I have used them probly 20 yrs or more.I think they are Canadian made trail shoes 10"wide about 4 1/2'long rawhide webing.A real good pair for walking.I replaced the bindings several times but the webing is still in good shape.I re varvish them after every season.
I use them here in Ill.hunting fox or the coydogs when the snow gets deep in the corn fields,it makes walking a lot easer.
I realy should get a new pair for the powdery snow now that my weight is getting heaver but I still get by with them.
I carry a Colt Anaconda when I'm in the mountains with one round of bird shot and 4 heavy 300 grainers I swage.
I been running into a lot of cats.Never had a problem with the Bears they are like me they mind there owne business when we meet. But the cats are a little sneaky.
I been doing a lot of prospecting, and backpacking in deep, some times a 3 day walk in so I carry just what I meed about 3-4 meals so I rely on the bird shot and fish line to get by on.It workes out good.
Well the truck is packed,I'm leavind at 4 in the morning, looking forward to it.

See ya :D Lp.

:D Hi Yukon.
Yes they are down here also,I dont carry firearmes in the parkes,But I do carry a pack fly rod.

I just came back yesterday from Montana and the Blackhills in South Dakota.I was on my way to the Yellowstone but I went up to Big Timber to pay for the Shiloh rifle and make some final changes, and I couldent get out of that place with out placing another order for another #1  Boy they are great people a Shiloh.
Then I payed Steve Brooks and his lovely wife a Visit at Bute and picked out another one of his Moulds.
Then I went back down into the Black Hills to work the Gold claim, but got run out because of thr warm weather and winds. It melted what little snow they had,but it was enough to raise the creek fast enough to wash away my sluice box with 4 hours of work,a chunk of ice came down when I was getting a nother bucket of material.
Then I went past Kenny Wasserburgers place I would liked to have stoped by but it was to late in the evening to be calling.
I never did make it to the Yellowstone.Lp.
