What kind of rattlers are encountered in Pennsylvania? Any eastern diamondbacks. I lived outside of Pittsburgh when I was small, saw a lot more snakes there than here in norther New York.

In far northern NY last fall, near canada, l I saw a garter snake crawling around even though there were patches of snow on the ground, that was a genuine surprise.

The Timber Rattler is most common and quite active this time of year. I never seen an Eastern Diamondback.
