If I really wanted to crash an airplane I would get a few friends armed with laser pointers and shine them into the eyes of the pilot and copilot as they were coming in for a landing. Silent, cheap as compared to a rifle, no license required, easily concealed and if done from an observation platform you dont even have to go thru an airport check station. There is already a few cases where pilots have reported them being shined into their eyes temporally blinding them. Two car crashes have been reported where the drivers(eye tests backed up their stories) reported being temporality blinded by a green/red light. Lawdog
