I picked up some old Handloader mags. One article of interest discussed the excellent results of two wraps of plumbers teflon tape and run through the sixer. No lube but they talked about frosted bullets holding it on better than smooth and shiney. they talked about a bit of gasget cement it it would not grip. Their results were impressive. I am goint to try it but all my stocks of cast are tumble lubed now. Any of you been there and done that? It sounds like it would be better than freezer tape or computer labels. JB

If you have access to a copy of "Snookey" Williamson's Winchester Lever Action Guns there is a good article in the back about using teflon tape for paper patched bullets. I believe the article was writtern by Vernal Smith.
If you load for Winchester lever actions, the book by Williamson is well worth getting. It has a lot of information on load data for every cartridge that was chambered in Winchester Models 1886, 1892 and 1894.
