Mike: your best bet is going to a competent smith and getting a chamber cast done. Or you can order the stuff from Brownells and others. Cerrosafe is the item.
A visit to the smith would include a looksee and opinion if the gun is safe to shoot. Might wet your appetite to make some smoke... try it once and you'll be hooked.
