Anyone here ever tried the Birchwood Casey liquid or paste blueing products? Anyone know who can make an old Contender look like new and roughly what something like that would cost?
I sent one to Thompson Center asking if they could reblue it and asking how much it would cost. Two weeks later it was back looking new for no charge. It also had all the upgrades done to it.
I did an old shotgun for a friend with the Birchwood Casey stuff and it looks real nice. This gun is a wall hanger. The BC blueing does not stand up to field use. If you want to blue your self, the Oxpho-blue from Brownels is much stonger, but less pretty.
