I had been using a reduced load in my 14" 30-30, with 115 gr bullets of about 5 gr or so. Had limited accuracy. Recently I got a box of 150gr lead bullets. I want to shoot these with a reduced load also. Need some suggestions on type and weight of powder suitable for 50 yard plinking.

Apparently I made a mistake allowing one post that had a page from a factory loading manual to be posted, and now all I see is load data. I ask posters in the stickies for this forum to post loads in the load forum. I will be removing posted loads from now on.

How "reduced" of a load are you looking for?

I've loaded subsonic .300 Whisper with a 150 gr. bullet using Trailboss. I don't see that powder listed on the Hodgdon website though (which is interesting, as they list it with larger calibers like .243 Win and .308.

For plinking loads in the Whisper, I've used 90 and 100 gr. XTPs and had good results. I don't see why they wouldn't do well in the .30-30 also.
