Apparently the model 700 ADL is gone. Ok, it's been around a long time and maybe due to be phased out. I understand this is the 25th. and last year of the Classic. I'm disappointed there as I thought in recent years the Classic model was even better than the BDL. The BDL model is also quite old and maybe scheduled to exit the scene. They've given us the CDL, but that's very much like the existing BDL, a little more sedate perhaps but not drastically different. They've either worked themselves into a corner, or several models are due to make the scene at the same time. What do you think? Best wishes.

Remington is confusing me with their models

They all shoot the same, but just look different, with varying prices
So it is just a matter of picking the one you like, and hopefully the caliber you want will be available with it.
The BDL continues to be the most popular, and it's my favorite as well.
Laminated stocks, stainless steel and special weather coatings all add more to the price.
The prices on the SPS and the SPS Stainless get my attention for just the basic rifle that can take some hard knocks.
XP-100s were phased out, but they brought the excellent action back in target rifle form, and they sell for about half the price of the monster 40XBs.
I was disappointed at one time because Remington seemed to be the only brand that didn't have drop magazines.
Now they have them. And they will likely stay until they quit selling. Things change.
So it appears they try to build one to suit everyone.
It's likely all down on paper somewhere, on how to improve sales.
