Ruger's "Centennial" Model guns(Made In The 200th. Year Of American Liberty), both rifle and pistol, were made in 1976. I own three of their pistols(2 Single Six’s, 1 Super Blackhawk), five of their 10/22’s and seven M77’s(tang safety, adjustable trigger). Because of them being "Centennial” Models they have a slightly higher resale price. Personally I prefer them over the newer models. Lawdog

Did you mean "bicentennial" ? You seem to know so much about that year,1976, is there any chance that you might know where I could get a photo of that Ruger Mark , which would show where the "logo" has been placed on that exact model...Thank you gerry [email protected]

It’s called the “Centennial" Model but yes it is for the Bi-Centennial. The words(Made In The 200th. Year Of American Liberty), are located on the left side of the frame just above the trigger on all pistol models and on the left side of the barrel just in front of the chamber area on rifles. I don’t have a picture of one but calling Ruger should be able to get you one. Lawdog

Look in the book "Ruger and his Guns". Great reading with beautiful pictures. well worth it. Also see if anyone on any of the gun auction sites has any and ask for additional photos. Seems like a good place to start to me.

buzztail,
Thank you for the pictures of the Logo On the Mark 1...You asked me if I would want another angle..Thank you, I would...could you send a photo of the complete pistol at an angle that would show both the logo and the side of the pistol it is located...The photos that you sent were perfect as far as the the sharpness is concerned....When I finish the murder investigation I am working on ,which includes that picticular Ruger ,I will fill you in on the details as to why your information was so important to my cause..
Thanks [email protected]

Is this what your looking for?

Last photo shows off my "rapid charging" modification done many years ago :) Being a machinist and bored is a bad combination
