That looks like a good candidate!! Did you have to do much or any work on the wood of the stock for fitment??

Luckily the D&T was already there, just had to screw it together.
The stock already had a thin deficit where the lower plate of mount invaded it.
You will need to remove what is necessary to accommodate it's mounting.
It ain't much material in obstruction.
Evidently a previous owner had scope it prior and removed mount before my nephew got it
The mount is made of stamped steel and had play if tension were applied
It works but it ain't fancy. Care will be required in handling after install.

Yes, my cousin has one on his .222 340. It works but I would call it neither elegant nor sturdy. It's plenty, given the relatively light calibers of the 340 series, but certainly not beefy.

Weaver side mount base is what I used on mine and I did have to cut a small inlet in the stock to make it work
