I purchased a gamo hunter with a BSA scope (display model).
The first time I shot it the scope feel off. Upon inspection I found that
the store employee who put it together had stripped out the screws holes
in the rings. I took it back to the store but they said it would take a couple
weeks for replacement rings. So I bought some weaver rings they had on
the self. Everything seem ok until i started loosing accuracy after 40 -50 shots. I found that the scope and rings were both creeping back. Does anyone have any suggestions. Any info would be appreciated.

serious air gunners go with mounts specifically built for air guns - if you have a spring piston gun it has forward and backward motion - actually much tougher than some firearms. You might want to check some of GB advertisers for airgun scope mounts that have a built in scope stop. Or buy a specially made scope stop to clamp on the rails behind the rear ring.

Also use blue Loktite or similar - removable type. It was the only way I could make a Beeman Peep sight stick on my Beeman R7 - which is a mild shooter. Also, I very lightly dinged the sight rail with a punch to gripe the sight. I'd loktite or put a small amount of resin inside the rings too.

B-square mounts

B-square has an awesome one peice mount with elevation and windage adjustments and very good lock down. It's about $30 at TJGeneral.com.

I don't think the b-squares will work...

Which bsquares are you talking about? Does your Gamo have a hole in the receiver/base for a stop pin? Chuck

Big6x6 I have not found a bsquare mount that fits a Gamo. Rws has
the only one I have found so far. It seems that RWS and Gamo's receiver/base is a different width than other air rifles.

Yes my receiver/base has a small threaded hole towards the back.

Here's what I'd get. I'd get some BKL 263s. They will fit the Gamo and they WON'T move. One of the best mounts you can get. They're a little expensive BUT you can forget about mounts/scope moving. Chuck

Yea I have been battling scope creep for years.
I have a Beeman "origonal" 35 (Diana 35), while not a Magnum by todays standards, the powerfull Mainspring produces quite a stout recoil and MOVES a scope!
Outside using the RWS "C" moune, the high end Beeman mounts, and a good B-Square model. you are gonna have creep!
Even my very mild mannered Geco 25-D (Diana 25D) has forced me back to iron sights due to frustrating creep.
I now am experimenting with a soft Bushnell mount on my Gamo Sporter 500. This light rifle kicks pretty hard for it's 760fps punch, and ig the cheap and soft aluminium holds it's place, I may have a solution for that particular rifle.
I actually prefer open sights for hunting, because they force one to "indian-up" to their quarry when hunting, and often prevent needlessy painfull and unnecessary woumding of animals. Bad enough we are killing them, might as well do it as expiedentlly and preciselly as possible, rather than cause them lingering deaths, and in the case of edible game, a lost meal.
When plinking. the scope helps on those extreme long shots, and naturally target work improves...
Latelly, my stronger eyeglasses perscription (old age gets us all!) is givin my scope work **** to deal with! somehow 4 lenses between the eye and target , get the crosshairs floating way more than my open sights do!
At this rate, I may end up taking ALL my airgun scopes off!

Welcome to the school of hard knocks. My first "adult" airgun was a Gamo 890. I sure wish I had the money I spent on that piece of garbage to spend on a scope when I got a good airgun.

BKLs

I can practically guarntee the BKL mounts will work. I have used BKL mounts on all types of air rifles including a Gamo Silver Shadow. Here are a few links of SOME of my air rifles with BKL mounts(257s, 260s, 263s)

I recieved my BKL mounts on Friday and installed them that night. I sighted it in Saturday morning and shot it off and on all weekend. I put about 70 rounds through it and the mounts have not moved. The BKL mounts look very heavy-duty and hold the scope securely. I think they have solved my problem.
