This little sportster rifle has been hanging on the wall for 2 years! Its about time to scope it and start having fun with it! For a 22 mag rifle I was thinking about a $50 or so budget on a scope! I have used the Simmons 8 point on a 22 and it worked out good (china scope)! Was thinking about a Bushnell sportsman but they are made in china! The trophy scope is made in the Philippine's! I have 3 Bushnell trophy 3-9x40mm scopes nice clear optic! Bushnell has a $10 fee to work on most scopes except there Elite scopes!What do you have on your rim fire rifles for scopes that have been working well for you all? Maybe I should look at a different brand I'm open to suggestions! Thanks Dale

I wouldn't let the made in China part bother you, if you knew how much stuff you already own that is made in China, you wouldn't be able to live with yourself if it bothers you that much, you can start with 99% of the components in the PC and monitor you're using to read this!!

You aren't gonna find a new scope made elsewhere for $50, the Sportsman starts in that range, the Banners are just above it, either should work for ya.

Another vote for either Bushnell models. I've had very good luck with both.

It just happens to be that there are Sportsmans 3X9'x on each of my NEF/H&R rim-fires as well as my .223's.

Go with the sportsmen 3.9.40 there are good cheap scopes i have one one my 17hmr and 1 on my 25-06 and they allwats hold zero one other cheap scope i use is a 3.9.40 tasco i have 1 on my 22mag and 1 on my H&R223 and there stay zeroed allso , so if u have had not trouble with bushnell y change

I use the Bushnell 3-9X32mm rimfire scope on my Marlin 22 Mag.
It's not a Leupold or a Nikon. But then again it is only a $40 scope.
It has pretty clear glass for what you pay for. For a hunting scope
it is hard to beat. Works great for me. Check out the reviews.

I mounted a red dot on mine first and was happy with it as a round the house coyote night rifle. Wall Mart cheap one and it bolted right on for less than $40. It's on a buck mark now but it will be upgraded before the end of the year.
I then mounted a Weaver 4X scope on it and am really happy.
I have the 3-9X32 Bushnell scope on my Marlin 22 mag. The 4 power is brighter and clearer.
I can see smaller objects with it than I can with the 3-9 on 6 power.
The marlin will be upgraded soon. I should have it done soon. Keep looking in the pay it forward section for when I do and you can have it and the red dot Tasco.
Other than that I would save up and get a fixed scope and be happy.
We took it rabbit hunting here in Southern CA and I was making hits out to 125 yards easily.
