I just purchased 209x50 and the scope mount on this gun sucks! Is there a good aftermarket mount? The gun grouped great at 50 but at 100 the left and right was ok (5 inchs high go figure) but the up and down very roughly 2 inchs.

scope mount

I didn't think they came with a factory mount. I have some Virgin Valley Custom Guns bases on a few but they are a little pricy and you can use any weaver style rings ,I like warne rings the most. Started to use the burris dual dovetail base and signiture rings on the larger calibers, seems more secure.

Encore Mount

The best mount for a carbine Encore I've found is the Burris Carbine mount. It's different from their pistol mount. It's longer and has the rings spaced further apart so you can get the scope a little further away from your eye. It takes Dual dovetail rings. I just ordered another one from midsouthshooterssupply.com for $15.95 not including the rings. Good luck!

The Leupold QR base and rings work well for me. The Virgin Valley bases can be had at http://www.midwayusa.com and do a search for Virgin Valley 6.
The VVs are 6 hole bases which is a very good idea but would require drilling and tapping two more holes to utilize all 6. They mount properly on the current 4 holes though. Would recommend Leupold QRW rings to go with those.
